Booking & Deposits

How far in advance should I book bridal hair and makeup?
We recommend booking 6–12 months in advance to secure your preferred date. Booking early ensures availability for both you and your bridal party.

How do I reserve my wedding date and submit a deposit?
The first step is to fill out our Bridal Inquiry Form  so we can confirm availability for your date. Once your services are confirmed, we’ll send a bridal contract to finalize your booking. A non-refundable $75 deposit per service (hair and/or makeup) is required to reserve your date — this deposit is applied toward the bride’s total service cost of $250 for each.

When is the final payment due?
Half of the bride’s remaining balance is due at the trial, and the final balance is due on the wedding day before our team departs. Accepted forms of payment include cash, check, Cash App, Venmo, and all major credit cards.

Can each member of the bridal party pay individually?
Yes! Each member can pay for their own hair or makeup services individually, making payment coordination simple and stress-free.

Trials & Services

Are bridal hair and makeup trials included?
Yes! One trial for the bride is included. Trials must be booked at least two months before your wedding date with your specific stylist and makeup artist.

What is included in bridal packages?
Our packages include custom bridal hairstyles, professional makeup, one hair and/or makeup trial for the bride, on-site bridal party services, and coordination to make your wedding day stress-free.

Do you provide flower girl hair and makeup?
Yes! We offer hair and makeup services for flower girls aged 12 and under.

How long does bridal hair and makeup take on the wedding day?
Each service typically takes 30–45 minutes, depending on the style and complexity. For larger bridal parties, we can bring multiple stylists and artists to ensure everyone is finished on time and your day runs smoothly.

Travel & Logistics

Do you travel to wedding venues outside Cedar Rapids?

Yes! Travel within 20 miles of Acacia Salon & Spa is free. For locations beyond 20 miles, a mileage fee of $0.50/mile both ways per stylist/artist applies. For travel outside of the salon, we require a minimum of 5 services, which can be any combination of hair and/or makeup applications, to make travel efficient and seamless.

Can you accommodate large bridal parties in Cedar Rapids and Eastern Iowa?
Absolutely! Our team can handle large wedding parties and coordinate schedules to ensure everyone is ready on time. We travel to Cedar Rapids, Marion, Iowa City, and surrounding Eastern Iowa venues.

Policies & Miscellaneous

Is gratuity required for bridal services?
Gratuity is never expected but is always appreciated if you feel our team delivered an exceptional experience.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made at least 30 days prior to your reserved date. Cancellations within 30 days will result in a charge of 50% of the agreed-upon services.

Can you handle last-minute changes or additions to the bridal party?
We strive to accommodate last-minute additions when possible. Please contact us as soon as possible so we can adjust scheduling and staffing to make your day seamless.
